Featured School: St. Hugh's College

The St Hugh's College Summer School is a three-week academic programme offered to high school students, and teachers at all levels, each summer by a constituent college of the University of Oxford.

The general theme of the Summer School is a study of the humanities in Great Britain from the 18th century to the present. Participants attend lectures by Fellows of St Hugh's College and other members of the University of Oxford. Lectures are reinforced by academically-related activities in and around Oxford and by full-day excursions to London and other relevant sites.

The centerpiece of the Summer School is the Oxford tutorial. Students concentrate their studies in an approved academic discipline and have a member of St Hugh's College or another college in the University of Oxford as their tutor.

Accommodation is in single rooms with private shower and toilet facilities as well as telephone. All meals are provided.

While the Summer School is academically rigorous, there is ample free time to engage in a wide range of social and recreational activities. For further information, please visit the St Hugh's College Summer School web pages.
