Datatel Scholars Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
For outstanding students currently attending an eligible Datatel client institution. The Datatel Scholars Foundation scholarship is open to fulltime and parttime students (taking at least six credit hours), as well as undergraduate and graduate students.
Personal Statement Essay
The Datatel Scholars Foundation scholarship personal statement essay should summarize educational goals and objectives, where the applicant has been as an individual, and where they hope their education will take them. They should also indicate the difference a Datatel scholarship would make in their life and to those around them.
Award Amount
The applications for the Datatel Scholars Foundation scholarship are divided into three groups based on the undergraduate tuition at the college or university the applicant attends. Each group receives scholarships and the Datatel Scholars Foundation Board of Directors determines the number of scholarships each year. Award amounts for each group are as follows:
* Group A - $2,400
* Group B - $1,600
* Group C - $1,000

For the 2007-2008 academic year awards, 38% of the students who were nominated by their institution won an award. The Foundation awarded 270 Datatel Scholars Foundation scholarships totaling $450,000.

American Center of Oriental Research
Founded in 1968, the American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) in Amman, Jordan, is a private, international, non-profit academic institution dedicated to promoting research and publication in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, ancient through modern history, art history, conservation and preservation studies, Arabic and other Near Eastern languages, Islamic studies, and many other fields related to Near Eastern studies. The center has 11 full-time employees, a six-story residential facility, and a fellowship program that grants over 20 awards annually for periods of two to six months
The library has more than 30,000 books and periodicals in a variety of disciplines. ACOR also offers offices and workrooms; equipment for field projects; computer facilities and wireless Internet access; a lecture room; and an archaeological conservation laboratory. In addition to these facilities, ACOR assists researchers by coordinating introductions and giving advice on conducting research projects in Jordan and the region. One NEH fellowship award of $20,000 for a tenure of 4 months at ACOR in Amman will be available for 2008-2009. Ron Brown Scholarship Program
The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, show exceptional leadership potential and make an impact on their communities through service to others.
To be eligibile, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, Black or African American and current high school seniors at the time of their application. Current college students are not eligible to apply. Applicants shoud demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need.
Each year, a minimum of 10 students will be designated Ron Brown Scholars and will receive $10,000 annually for four years, for a total of $40,000.

Student Fellowship: Folger Shakespeare Library
The manuscript collection, which numbers 55,000, is especially strong in early correspondence and commonplace books and is extended by such microfilm holdings as the State Papers Domestic from Edward VI through Charles I and papers from the Cecil, Loseley, Harleian, and Lansdowne collections. In secondary materials, the Library holds approximately 100,000 titles. Fellows also have easy access to the Library of Congress. Three NEH fellowships carrying stipends of up to $40,000 are available for 2008-2009.

U.S. Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF)
Postdoctoral Fellowship on Poverty and Public Policy
Fellows will participate in a number of seminars on poverty research and will be supervised by Dr. Sheldon Danziger, professor of Public Policy and co-director of the National Poverty Center.S
During the fellowship period, scholars receive stipends of $48,000 per calendar year, beginning as early as July 1, 2008, but no later than September 1, 2008. Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. after 2002 and prior to August 31, 2008. Priority will be given to proposals that would benefit from the resources available at the University of Michigan and from interactions with affiliated faculty members.

Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Internship
If you are interested in obtaining an internship while pursuing a college education, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Internship may be right for you!
The Academy sponsors several internships each year, open to both full-time undergraduate and graduate students.
Internships are geared towards students who are pursuing a degree at any college and university within the United States. The program is designed to help students earn hands-on experience in the world of television production, professional techniques and practices, and in-depth exposure to all of this.
All interns will have the opportunity to earn hands-on experience in both administrative and production duties, but should not expect to receive training in all areas.
Please keep in mind when applying for this internship that intern positions are full time!
If you are accepted into the internship program with The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, you will receive a $4,000 stipend for your time. This stipend will be divided into three installments.
Interns will be responsible for their own housing, transportation and living expenses while interning for the Academy. All internships are located in the Los Angeles area, and interns must have a reliable vehicle for transportation.

American Scholarships: Fulbright Program for U.S. Students
Established to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries through education and cultural exchange. Awards grants to U.S. citizens in all fields of study and operates in more than 140 countries worldwide. More than 1,200 grants provided annually, generally for one academic year of study, research, or teaching assistantship experience. The numbers of grants and award amounts allotted per host country differ, but funds generally cover most expenses associated with tenure abroad. The majority of grants offered in this program are Full or Teaching Assistant Grants, whose benefits generally include round-trip transportation to the host country, cost-of-living expenses, a health benefits package, book and research allowances, tuition, and language or orientation courses.

American Scholarships: Minority Fellows Program
The Minority Fellows Program designates up to twelve stipend minority fellows each year. Additional applicants who do not receive funds from the Association may also be recognized and recommended for admission and financial support to graduate political science programs. Fellows with stipends receive a $4,000 fellowship that is disbursed in two $2,000 payments–one at the end of their first graduate year and one at the end of their second–provided that they remain in good academic standing. APSA can disclose some of the funds at the start of the academic year by request of the student. Awards are based on students’ undergraduate course work, GPA, extracurricular activities, GRE scores, and recommendations from faculty.
Eligibility
The Minority Fellows program is designed primarily for minority students applying to enter a doctoral program in POLITICAL SCIENCE for the FIRST TIME. Additional eligibility criteria include:

MALDEF Scholarship
The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund offers an amazing scholarship opportunity for students interested in pursuing a law degree.
The MALDEF Law School Scholarship is open to law students who are entering their first, second or third year of law school.
In order to qualify for the award, students must be enrolled full-time in law school for the upcoming semester. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of up to $7,000 to deserving individuals.
There are several factors that are considered when determining recipients for the
First and foremost, applicants must have a demonstrated interest in serving the Latino community via the legal profession. Additionally, both academic and professional achievement will be evaluated when considering applicants.
Financial need will also be taken into consideration when choosing recipients for the scholarship.
In order to apply, there are several items your application must have to be considered for an award. Please complete and sign a MALDEF scholarship application, available on their website.
Applicants must also include a resume, a typed personal statement with specific information, (see website,) and a copy of your official undergraduate transcript. For applicants who have already completed at least one year of law school, you must include a copy of your law school transcript.
Applications must also include a letter of recommendation stating your personal involvement in the Latino community and a letter of recommendation from a college or law school professor.
Finally, a completed financial need statement must be enclosed with your other application materials. Incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed or accepted.

Master Scholarships from Swiss Government 2008/2009
The intended study should be useful for the development in Indonesia. In principle, the scholarship holders can study at any national Swiss university or Federal Institute of Technology. The candidates should take into account the possibilities offered by Swiss universities. Following programs are not included in this scholarship:
1. Fine arts and music
2. Undergraduate studies
3. Hotel management studies
4. Student exchange programs
5. Part-time studies
6. On-the-job studies
7. Correspondence courses
The duration of grant is for the nine-month academic year. Under certain conditions, which are justified by FCS and the related university, the scholarship may be renewed.
Conditions
1. Indonesian citizen
2. University degree ( min. Sarjana Strata-1/bachelor degree or equivalent)
3. Candidates must be under 35 years old when applying (birth date after December 31, 1972)
4. Sufficient knowledge of one of the official languages in Switzerland (i.e. German, French or Italian), depending on the location of chosen university, and English for some courses. Each candidates will have to undergo a language test at the Swiss Embassy in Jakarta in order to determine the oral and written language ability.
Note: It is a general requirement that applicants must have proficient knowledge of one of the official languages spoken in Switzerland. In principle this requirement still applies to applicants with good English abilities and also if the intended study program will be held in English. The applicant should fully benefit from the offered scholarship. Without knowledge of one of the national languages it will be difficult to handle daily situations (foreign police, post office, bank, university life, etc). A qualified applicant whose language proficiency is considered inadequate may still be granted a scholarship. This, however, will be subject to the applicant’s attendance of a special three months’ intensive language course at the University of Fribourg. The FCS will also cover the expenses for these courses, which usually start in mid-July.
5. Acceptance letter from the chosen university. Before applying the candidates need to contact the professor or direction of the postgraduate program at the chosen educational institution in order to get a written confirmation of acceptance which must be submitted when filing the application. The requirements to obtain the letter have to be seen in the web site of each universities. Generally the request of the acceptance letter must be completed with a detailed and precise plan of the intended postgraduate study program, curriculum vitae and certified copies of the university diplomas including academic transcripts. A certified translation is required if the originals are not issued in English, German, French or Italian.
6. Detailed study/research plan and motivation describing clearly and precisely the aim of study. The possibilities offered by the Swiss universities should be taken into account, also the possibilities of professional reintegration when returning to Indonesia

Photocopies of any documents such as general certificates of secondary education, university diplomas and transcripts, language certificates, etc. have to be certified as true copies. Certified translations into either English, German, French or Italian have to be attached to those documents which are not originally issued in one of these languages. Please note that only complete and orderly prepared application files will be taken into consideration. If all requirements are fulfilled, the applicants will be selected to be invited by the Embassy in order to take a written and oral language test, as well as a short personal interview. In May 2008 the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) will announce the accepted candidatures.
Scholarship Amount
CHF 1.920,-/month for post-graduate students
CHF 1.600,-/month for the language course in Fribourg.
Please note that the scholarship recipients are exempted from the general semester fees but NOT for certain postgraduate courses as for example MBA-programmes (which can reach thousands of CHF). The scholarship grant covers only living expenses in Switzerland. Therefore it is highly suggested that the applicant clarify the possibility of tuition fee exemption directly to the university.
Travel Expenses and Insurance
Recipients from Indonesia pay their own travel expenses to Switzerland, but the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS) pays the return ticket (except for family members). The return travel will not be offered if the grantees extend their stay in Switzerland beyond six months after completion of their studies, or if they take up employment or move to a third country. Health insurance (except for dental care) and accident insurance are provided.
Obligations of a Scholarship Holder
Scholarship holders must live in Switzerland at the study place and must comply with the laws concerning the residence of foreigners in Switzerland and the university regulations. The scholarship holders cannot take family members to Switzerland in the first year of study but they may visit Switzerland on their own costs as a tourist. When accepting the scholarship, candidates may have to give their written agreement to return to Indonesia after completion of the scholarship in Switzerland. Scholarships of the FCS cannot be cumulated with other scholarships. If the scholarship holders have another scholarship or another financial support (such as salary), they are not entitled to be granted a Swiss scholarship.

* Managing Technical Assets in Energy Industry
The program is articulated on three phases, with an increasing degree of specialisation. All profiles consist of preliminary courses, followed by fundamental courses and by specialisation classes.
The Academic Year runs for ten months, from September 5, 2007 through to June 27, 2008. Full-time attendance is required. Since courses are conducted in Italian and in English, an intensive Italian language course will be held during the summer of 2007. Those who have successfully completed the programme of study will be awarded a Master`s Degree in Energy and Environmental Management and Economics - MEDEA.
REQUIREMENTS
Admission is subject to the following requirements:
* university degree in Italy, or an equivalent academic qualification abroad, in departments of: Business Administration, Chemistry, Economics, Engineering, Geology, Industrial Chemistry, International Law, Physics and Statistics;
* Italian candidates must be under the age of 28 years and non-Italian candidates must be under the age of 32 at the beginning of the Master course;
* good knowledge of the English language.
The course, moreover, can be attended also by people autonomously chosen by the Eni Companies.
APPLICATION AND SELECTIONS
The deadline for application is March 31, 2007 for foreign citizens and April 30, 2007 for Italian citizens. Italian candidates will attend the final selection in San Donato Milanese (MI); non-Italian candidates in Algeri, Almaty, Ankara, Beijing, Brussels, Budapest, Cairo, Lagos, London, Luanda, Madrid, Monaco, Moscow, New York, Sao Paulo, Tripoli, or in other offices of Eni, depending on their nationality.

For successful candidates, the admission to and the enrolment in the School carry no fees. The School offers students a financial contribution for the accommodation and living expenses. Moreover, students are given free training materials and the opportunity to avail themselves of Eni canteen facilities. Finally, scholarships are provided on the basis of examination results.
