Location: Belgium

In the framework of Project IAP 6-09 (2007-2011) Higher Education and Research: Organization, Market Interaction and Overall Impact in the Knowledge-Based Era financed by Belgian Federal Authorities, the Facultés Universitaires Catholiques de Mons (Catholic University of Mons, a member of the Louvain Academy) is recruiting a researcher with a degree in Economics or Management, preferably.

The researcher will receive a monthly fellowship between 1650 and 1873 EUR (net current amount) depending on the degree obtained; he or she is expected to undertake a PhD within the rules of the Louvain Academy.

The research will focus on the financing of cross border students within the Bologna Area (the European Union and some other countries). More precisely, the way various countries including large federations finance cross border students will be compared, properties will be observed (efficiency, equity, consistency with the subsidiarity principle), new systems might be designed and eventually policy recommendations will be issued.
