Master of Arts in International Relations

The Division of International Studies at Alliant International University offers a challenging course of study leading to a Master of Arts in International Relations (IR).

The IR program coursework stresses an in-depth exploration of world affairs and a thorough understanding of theoretical perspectives. The program is enhanced by faculty with international experience and students who come to Alliant from a wide range of countries.

Focusing on national, regional, and international arenas, the program also facilitates the development of skills for successful careers in a multicultural US and the global society.

At the master's level, IR students find a number of factors that make the Alliant experience distinctive:

* Innovative program of study, responding quickly to changing developments on the national, regional, and world fronts.
* Sensitivity to the student's educational and career objectives, with the ability to adjust program characteristics to meet individual needs.
* Intellectually rewarding coursework, emphasizing experiential learning opportunities in small, seminar-type classes.
* Opportunities for students to spend a semester completing course work at or participating in study tours with students from the Mexico City Campus.
* Participation in extracurricular activities such as the Division of International Studies and the Model United Nations.
